MLK Commission Banquet
The MLK Commission Banquet is a signature annual event hosted by the MLK Commission of Guadalupe County to honor the life, legacy, and enduring impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This distinguished evening brings together community leaders, elected officials, educators, faith-based organizations, and residents to reflect on Dr. King’s vision of justice, equality, and unity.
The banquet serves as a platform to recognize individuals and organizations whose service and leadership embody the principles of Dr. King. Taste of Soul
The Taste of Soul is a vibrant community celebration hosted by the MLK Commission of Guadalupe County, honoring the rich cultural heritage, history, and traditions of soul food and the communities that created it.
This event brings together local chefs, restaurants, and community members to share food, fellowship, and storytelling. More than just a culinary experience, Taste of Soul highlights the deep roots of culture, resilience, and unity while creating space for connection across generations and backgrounds.
